‘Stone Cloud’ is a series of singular side tables with a bold mineral and sculptural presence. Combining rare and forgotten marbles grafted onto the Vicenza hard stone – considered for its great resistance as a stone cutting bed –the pieces pay tribute to high craft and salvaged beauty. The creation of these unusual functional sculptures is defined by intuitive encounters with rare, recovered grey and pink Onyx, an evocation of sensuality through imperfection.

Celebrating stone as a monomaterial in a pure expression of architectural constructions, the new series continues a work initiated in collaboration with the third generation of the historical marble makers of Laboratorio Morseletto in Vicenza, Northern Italy, this time handed down by women. Each piece is hand sculpted by the finest Italian makers encapsulating the spirit of a unique collectible functional sculpture.

Continuing the quest of concrete poetry and obsessive upcycling of precious fragments, each table is born from an encounter with an abandoned marble block or slab, transforming a remain into a piece of eternity.
